In late 2020 I announced that I was collaborating with O’Reilly Media on a new Information Security book, their latest in their 97 Things Book Series.

I am proud to announce that the first early release, about 18 initial chapters, of 97 Things Every Information Security Professional Should Know is now live on the O'Reilly platform. The physical book, with all 97 contributions, arrives this September (2021).  

The past year has been so hard for many, myself included. Personally and professionally, I too experienced tremendous change, loss, grief, and hard days, all the while caring for my family, attending graduate school in the evenings, switching roles (twice), feeling exhausted, and losing my dad earlier this year. Working on this book kept me going.  

This book was a labor of love. Absolutely nothing would have been possible without all the phenomenal contributors, my editors - Mary, Angela, Jennifer, and everyone else who supported this project. Thank you ALL from the top to the bottom of my heart. 

I cannot wait until every information security professional or soon-to-be gets their hands on this book and all of its goodness. I am super happy at how it turned out because every contributor brought their A-game.
